Rulings about prioritized actions

With the support of the ITS Directive, the EU has issued six regulations on priority actions. The provisions are regulated in a number of acts.

ITS Directive contains six priority actions (a-f). Delegated acts are decided on measures b, c, d and e. The decision to file a coming soon. Akt f is put on ice. The rules are regulated in the following documents:
a) the provision of EU-wide multimodal travel information
b) provision of EU-wide real-time traffic information services
c) data and procedures for the provision, where possible, of road safety related minimum universal traffic information for users
d) the harmonized provision of an interoperable EU-wide eCall
e) provision of information services for safe and secure parking places for trucks and commercial vehicles
f) the provision of reservation services for safe and secure parking places for trucks and commercial vehicles.

National service for facilitating the exchange of data
Access to relevant and current data is a prerequisite for every member country to implement the priority actions. Therefore, each country establish a national service, NAP (Nationell access point), which presents all the data available in the road transport system, independently of the organization is to collect and provide data. NAP will help them to create information services to develop services that can improve the efficiency of transport and travel.
In Sweden, the Swedish Transport Administration designated authority to establish the NAP service for provisions c and e. Here, all organizations in Sweden that deliver data, declare their data in a metadata description. They should also describe where the data can be retrieved.

Standardized format for data
EU-wide information requires data to be delivered in a standardized format. Under the provisions should therefore all data is delivered in the format Datex II or any other compatible format.
